ELSA HEWITT is a producer who uses a mixture of organic and found sounds, electronics, instruments, loop pedals, samplers, songwriting and poetry to create her art. Recent work includes the ‘becoming real’ album trilogy released in 2017 on cassette and digitally via her own label currently known as ERH. Each album of the trilogy has received emphatic support internationally and from well-known tastemakers such as Tom Ravenscroft (bbc 6music), Andrew Jervis (bandcamp), Jay Scarlett and Stamp The Wax to name a few. Recent collaborations include an audio-visual live set with artist and filmmaker Sam Boullier, and many appearances on Bambooman’s debut album ‘Whispers’.

ANNA WALDMANN released two EPs with her former project “You” signed to Manchester Indie MUK records. All of these tracks were picked for BBC 6 Introducing’s ‘Fresh Faves’ and when Gary Crowley played “In Halves” on his show, he stated it was “One of the best debut singles he’d heard in his time.” Both singles were also main evening play-listed to Radio X, with “In Halves” being John Kennedy’s ‘X-Posure Big One’. The band were asked to do a “One Night Stand” live session and also to play at his night. They were also play-listed on Amazing Radio and featured as song of the week on Simon Raymond’s (Cocteau Twins/Bella Union) acclaimed show.
The EPs received extensive blog coverage and the band were featured in publications such as the NME and The Manchester Evening News. Other previous releases have been synced to MTV’s ‘Keeping up with the Kardashians’ and ‘Catfish’.

After a short hiatus that was needed to gain the distance in which to write honestly from some harder experiences, Anna has recorded a new EP and is currently writing an album. Anna is interested in drawing from a pool of vulnerable emotions elicited having lived through some tough times and her brittle vocal style and intense lyrics consummately convey these feelings.

PLEASE NOTE if you would like a signed vinyl add £12 to the price of the ticket and Ola will bring a vinyl with a special dedication for you. This option also will help her to indicate how many vinyls she has to bring from York.

(Under 16s must be accompanied by a parent or a carer)

Doors open at 7:00 pm.
